16-19 Tuition Fund Statement

The 16-19 tuition fund is an additional allocation of funding that the school has received for the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for the 2020-2021 academic year only. This fund has been provided to support students aged between 16-19 who have yet to achieve a GCSE grade 5 in Maths or English and whose learning or levels of attainment have been affected by coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to this opportunity at Blackfen we have implemented small group tuition for students who have not yet achieved grade 4 in Maths and English to support students who are retaking these subjects.

Further support may be offered in the form of on-line learning sessions for students without grade 4 in English and/or Maths. Further details will be published and eligible students informed.
