Thank you to all our parents who park carefully when dropping off and collecting your children.
Unfortunately, the school has received multiple complaints from our local residents, who have noted parents parking for up to 45 minutes, on double yellow lines, across residents' driveways and even on the zigzag lines directly outside the school.
The safety of our students and our relationship with local residents are important.
Local parking enforcement and the police have been asked for support. Please respect our local residents and park mindfully.
Thank you

A Level and Level 3 Vocational Qualification results – Blackfen School
Blackfen School’s sixth form students have achieved excellent results in this year’s A level and BTEC Level 3 examinations. The school has continued to offer a wide range of BTEC qualifications alongside A levels. Once again, the young people have been successful in their selection and completion of these courses, working alongside staff to gain their qualifications and secure a fantastic range of personal achievement. Over 40% of our A level grades were at A*-B and we’re proud to have achieved this in our fully comprehensive school community.
We are delighted to report that our university candidates have all secured places at their first or second choice universities and that a significant number of students will begin their higher level apprenticeships in the next few weeks.
Our young people proceed to a variety of universities and courses, including the universities of Bristol, King’s College London and the University of Kent. Our students will be studying a huge range of courses: Criminal Justice, Psychology, Biomedical Science, Sports Rehabilitation, Fashion Business Management, Architecture, Pharmacy, International Business, English, History, Geography, 3D Game Art and Film and TV production to name a few.
Head Teacher, Carrie Senior, commented, “Congratulations to all sixth form students at the school. I am immensely proud of them all and the individual learning journeys underpinning these results. Our students have worked extremely hard and have responded positively to the demands of their courses during the last two years. The grades have enabled students to gain places at University, College or on high level training schemes and apprenticeships. The results achieved are testament to the hard work and support from all staff in the school working in partnership with parents and carers. I wish our young people every success in the future.”
Sports Day will be taking place on Thursday 11th July and participants will be off timetable all day.
Students will be off timetable and taking part in a range of enrichment activities across the two days.
