Raising aspirations - releasing potential

Digital Leader Students share expertise at world class technology event.

Nine of our students who are Digital Leaders attended the world’s leading learning and technology event this week; The BETT show at London’s Excel Arena. Accompanied by Mr O’Donnell and Mr McGee, the students were looking for new technology that the school can invest in to enhance their studies.

From tablets and software to hardware and even dance mats, the Digital Leaders sat through several demonstrations from a variety of stands such as Lego who were demonstrating their latest range of programmable Lego packages.

The highlight of the show was Lily Thackeray and Maddy Bygrave presenting with Mr McGee at the Pearson Fronter Stand. Both did a fantastic job explaining the role of a Digital Leader and how they are being utilised within school to help teachers set up their own Fronter rooms.

The Digital Leaders are: Chloe Burnett ,Amy Ledger, Lily Thackeray, Rosie Yull, Jo-Ann Gorman, Ellie White, Teniola Ajadi, Amy Rutherford and Maddison Bygrave.

All students came away with the experience of being part of such a large event but also loads of freebies.
