GCSE and A' Level results success

Consistently high results for GCSE and A' Level students continue to make Blackfen a high achieving school. 

Blackfen School for Girls maintained its reputation as a high performing non-selective school in the GCSE examination results this summer.  Over 95% of students gained 5 A*-C grades with almost 75% of students gaining 5A*-C grades including Mathematics and English.  Over 25% of students gained at least 3 A*/A grades.

Head Teacher, Matthew Brown, commented “I am delighted with these excellent results.  Our students have worked extremely hard and deserve the fantastic grades they have achieved.  The results have been achieved due to a real team effort – students, staff, parents and Governor have worked hard together to ensure success”.

Blackfen School’s sixth form students have once again produced a very good set of results at A2. The pass rate was over 98% with over 60% of grades at A*-C.
Head Teacher, Matthew Brown, commented “I am extremely proud of the achievements of our students. They have worked very hard and shown a real commitment to their studies over the last two years.   The grades have enabled students to gain places at University or to gain places on high level non graduate training schemes and apprenticeships. I wish them every success in the future”.
