Welcome to our Year 6 Induction page where you will find lots of information to ensure you and your daughter are fully informed before they start their journey here in September.
Please read below key information at this stage, including upcoming events for your diary.
Welcome Day
This is our Year 6 student induction event held in school on Tuesday 7th July 2026. Year 6 students are asked to wear their usual school uniform, bring a packed lunch, a drink (no glass bottles please) and something to write with. Please arrive between 8.50am and 9am. The day ends at 2.50pm.
Parents/Carers Welcome Evening
This event is for parents and carers only and not students. It will be held on the evening of Tuesday 7th July 2026. Doors open at 5.00pm for a PROMPT start at 5.15pm with a talk from the Head Teacher and Key staff. You will then have the opportunity to look at uniform, sample food from our Canteen, as well as meet and talk to staff and other parents.
Summer School
This is a 2-day event on Thursday 23rd July and Friday 24th July 2026. The cost for staffing, resources and a visiting theatre company will be £12 a day. Students are to arrive from 9:15am for a 9:30am start and will finish by 2:35pm. Students need to wear appropriate clothing, and please provide a packed lunch. We will send out more information nearer the time.

Parents information evening
This event is for parents and students only in October (Date TBC). You will have an opportunity to meet with your child’s tutor and ask any questions and find out more information about the upcoming terms in Year 7. Key members of the Year Team will be there as well as our school SENDCO.
Year 7 Parents’ Evening – March 2027
Come and meet your child’s subject teachers to discuss how well they are doing and what their next steps can be to meet and/or exceed their targets.
Autumn, Spring and Summer Progress Updates are issued termly. These will show your child’s quality of academic progress, attendance, achievement, behaviour points and the quality of their growth mindset.
