ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (DETENTIONS)      

Temporary, 12 months – Part Time  

5 days per week

20 hours per week (4 hours per day)

38 weeks per year (term time only)

GRADE: Bexley Council 05 Points 051 to 054 – FTE Salary £22,575 to £22,983    

Actual Salary including Outer London Allowance: £10,464.52 to £10,653.64    

Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2019, 60% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C. Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

Under the arrangements for Summer 2021 examinations, students in Years 11 and 13 continued to make very good progress.

Our flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at A and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses.

Our Governors want to appoint an experienced, confident and reliable Administrative Assistant who will join our Student Welfare Department.

  • Candidates will need very good literacy, numeracy and ICT skill.  
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Has good organisational and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred.

Candidates will need to be available to work from 12:00pm to 16:00 each day.

Successful Candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check.
