Subject Access Requests (SARs)
Under UK GDPR, individuals have the right to access personal data held by the school. It should be noted that, in most cases in a secondary school setting, the data belongs to the CHILD and not the parent/carer and therefore the child must give their consent for their data to be accessed. The vast majority of secondary school pupils must therefore make the SAR themselves or formally give their consent to the parent or carer before a subject access request relating to their personal data is made. To make a Subject Access Request:
- Submit your request to the school.
- Clearly specify the information you are requesting, including any relevant details to help us locate the data (e.g., student name, date range).
- Email your request to dpo@schoolpro.uk or you can send it by post to the school, who will forward your request to our DPO:

Subject Access Requests are dealt with by our nominated data protection provider, SchoolPro TLC Limited. We will respond to your request within one calendar month, as required by law.
Parents have the right of access to school records for their child; this may include school reports, attendance records and correspondence.
Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests
If you wish to request information held by the school that is not personal data (e.g., policies, procedures, or financial reports), you can make a Freedom of Information request by:
- Submitting your request in writing, either by email to or by post to the school address.
- Clearly indicate it is an FOI request and describe the information you are seeking.
We aim to respond to FOI requests within 20 school days (or 60 working days).
