Sixth Form Induction Day (for students with confirmed places only)
Information for 2024 entry will be advised in due course.
September 2023 Entry information below:
This will take place on Friday 30th June 2023. Students should arrive from 8.30am for a 9.00am start, on arrival they should go to the main school reception. For this day students do not need to wear Sixth Form dress code however, please ensure that clothing is appropriate for a working school environment. During the day students will attend taster lessons in the subjects they selected on their subject selection form, therefore four lessons. They will also attend a Sixth Form tutor session as this is a daily part of being a Sixth Form student and have time to socialise at break and lunch in the Sixth Form learning zone where hot and cold food and drink will be available to purchase using debit card (or fingerprint if currently in Blackfen year 11) - please note cash is not accepted, alternatively students can bring a packed lunch. Please note that on this day students are not able to leave the school site at break/lunch. The day will end at 3.00pm when students will be dismissed.
The purpose of this day is for your child to find out more about life in the Sixth Form and to test the subjects they have currently selected to study. The Induction day is an important part of the transition programme into year 12 and therefore we expect students to attend and take part in all activities. After Induction day we will set further transition and induction activities using the Microsoft Teams groups that have been set up. There will be a further Induction day in September (details will be given to students on enrolment).
THIS IS A BOOKABLE EVENT - Please email: email@example.com before 10th June to confirm your attendance. Any queries please contact Mrs Eiffert, Sixth Form Student Support Manager via email above or 020 8303 1887 extn 3119.
