School Direct Programme 2019 - 2020
Blackfen School is working in partnership with Bexley Teaching Alliance to offer School Direct teacher training places in September 2019. School Direct is a great new way to gain the skills required to become a teacher.
School Direct is an employment-based route into teaching for high quality graduates, leading to QTS and PGCE qualification. Applicants must have UK residency, GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, and a degree – First Class or Upper Second – in which the candidate wishes to train to teach, or a closely-related subject. The trainee is employed as an unqualified teacher by the school.
This route into teaching is funded by a standard support package of tuition fee loans, with training bursaries and scholarships available where eligible.
Access to further information for School Direct and available bursaries can be found at www.education.gov.uk/schooldirect
We are looking to recruit in the following subject areas: Computing, Geography, Maths, MFL and Physics
