SALARY: MPR + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE
Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2019, 60% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C. Similarly high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

The post would suit either an NQT or more experienced teacher.
Recruitment and hiring during COVID-19: Despite the challenges we face, recruitment and hiring will continue for all Blackfen School vacancies with as little disruption as possible over the coming weeks and months. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that the post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
