SALARY: TEACHER’S MAIN PAY RANGE + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE
Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2018, 61% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9 - 4 / A*- C grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. At A’ level in 2018, 100% of the grades were A*- E with 41% at A*- B and 83% at A*- C. Similarly high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.
Our flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at AS and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses.
Our Governors want to appoint a well-qualified, motivated and innovative teacher who has the ability to teach A’ Level Law and Level 3 BTEC Law. You will join an innovative and committed Faculty, proud of its professional work and the progress of its students.
The post would suit either an NQT or more experienced teacher.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that the post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
