TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION (MATERNITY COVER)
PART TIME, 0.8 (Mondays to Thursdays)
SALARY: MPR + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE
Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2019, 60% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C. Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.
Under the arrangements for Summer 2020 examinations, students in Years 11 and 13 continued to make very good progress.

The ability to teach across the age and ability range is required. Applicants must have experience of or willingness to teach Duke of Edinburgh and Dance Leaders as a curriculum activity. Applications from all teaching specialism will be accepted including Dance and Sport's Leadership.
The post would suit either an NQT or more experienced teacher.
