TEACHER OF SCIENCE, PART TIME (0.6) - TEMPORARY
SALARY: MPR + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE
Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2019, 60% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C. Similarly high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.
Our Governors wish to appoint an ambitious, talented, innovative teacher who is committed to raising achievement and who has the capacity to make a real contribution to the work of a supportive and continually improving school. The post would suit either an NQT or more experienced teacher.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.
