GRADE: Bexley Council 05 Points 051 to 054 – FTE Salary £24,804 to £25,212 per annum
Actual Salary: £17,977.64 - £16,240.46 per annum
Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In In 2022, 65% of students in Year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9 - 4 / A*- C grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. At A-level in 2022, 99% of the grades were A*- E with 64% at A*- B and 86% at A*- C. Comparable attainment was achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.
Our flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at AS and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and level 3 courses.
Our Governors want to appoint a Teaching Assistant 2 who will join our Special Educational Needs Department.
Candidates will need good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to be able to support pupils in a variety of curriculum areas.
Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred.
Candidates will need to be available to work from 8.30am until 3.10pm each day.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check.
